Current Internet Issues
by IT Support - Tuesday, 8 December 2015, 02:22 PM

By now you may have noticed an issue with internet access, the colleges internet provider is suffering a DoS attack (Denial of Service), this is affecting our access numinous website but we are unable to fix the issue at this end, the colleges internet provider is dealing with the issue as fast as they can but as yet there is not ETA for the resolution of this issue.

Denial of Service definition

An interruption in communications between PCs, Servers, typically caused with malicious intent.

UPDATE: As of 14:10 Internet access is working again, the original issue has yet to be reported as fixed, Until the we get an update from the colleges internet provider please be aware some websites may be uncontactable, we will also be monitoring the connection for any further issues.

Kind Regards

Have you tried turning it off and on again? :P

But being serious sure is odd for a college to be targeted by a DoS attack, hopefully not from a inside source though.

And this is why I have my own WiFi hotspot with me :3
